STERLING T. HIGGINS, Vice-President of Construction

Sterling began his career in 1998 as a customer service representative in the warranty department of Centex Homes. One year later he was promoted to Assistant Field Superintendent. During his years with Centex Homes, Sterling participated in the firm’s Production Management Training program and received extensive training in construction techniques to prevent mold. In 2000, Sterling joined the staff of Mangano Homes, Inc. as a Field Superintendent. Two years later, he was promoted to Director of Construction, and in 2004 he was promoted again, to Vice President of Construction. Today, Sterling is responsible for overseeing the creation of homes in Mangano Homes’ Bowden Ranch neighborhood in San Luis Obispo, while providing oversight to construction in the Visalia area. Since joining Mangano Homes, he has earned his contractor’s license and is working toward a real estate license. For Mangano Homes, he has supervised the completion of more than 165 homes, lending his eye for detail and exacting commitment to excellence to each home.

“I build every home as if I am building it for myself. Ten years later I will be able to point to any one of these homes and be proud to know that I built it. We put a lot of effort into every home.”
